The peacefulness of the action and the imagined sounds made by the horses' feet were instrumental in my choice of this photo. It was, however, the enormous tree in the background that held my attention. Its grandeur seemed to give a depth to the terrain over which the cowboy and his horses were treading. The gnarled limbs spoke of years of seasonal hardships, as well as the contentment of sharing space with joyous yellow flowers. I would love to visit this tree some day.
