The blooms of cactus can be spectacular and colorful. In this case with this prickly pear in Tucson,

the cactus had only one bloom but several more buds and their location on the cactus seemed like it

would make a good composition with the blossom prominently on top and the buds running down

the cactus. I found what I thought was the best location and angle to achieve this composition.
